Instead of govt bans ... what about govt issue?

"Switzerland's high rate of gun ownership is tied to the fact that it does not have a standing army so virtually every male citizen is conscripted into the militia where they receive comprehensive weapons training. Since they are a militia, they keep their government issued weapons at home. Therefore, many of the guns in Swiss homes were issued to them by the government and most Swiss gun owners are highly trained in gun safety.

When Swiss militia members complete their service they are allowed to keep their weapon once they've been approved for an acquisition permit and can prove they have justification for having it. Private ownership of guns, along with ammunition, is also allowed under an acquisition permit with certain restrictions, including against those with criminal records and history of addiction and psychiatric problems. And every gun in Switzerland is registered by the government."

Switzerland has one of the lowest rates of gun violence and gun related deaths. . . .

Say “NO” to “Sister City” ...

What we need:

YOU to show up at Monday March 5th County Council Meeting at 6'30pm Administration Facility 222 McDaniel Ave, Pickens SC 29671

What we want:

Councilmen to reimburse their trip to Germany to the taxpayers. NO agreement on being a sister city.

What we don't want:

A United Nations promoted “sister city” agreement with Karlsrhue Germany

Why we don't want it:

It is a waste of time and taxpayer money.

It goes against the Resolution signed by the previous council to NOT be a Welcoming City to improperly vetted Islamic Syrian refugees.

Karlsrhue is known as a very liberal progressive city and we are a predominantly conservative county.

There are many examples around the USA of sister city program being a boondoggle.

Sister cities promote sending our people and students over there and their people and students over here. Karlsrhue citizens have a predominantly liberal/socialistic ideology.

Sister City program is praised by the United Nations which clearly has a One World agenda.

How You Can Help:

Do your own research.

Follow the Facebook Group; Concerned Voters of Pickens County the Whole Truth online.

Follow the Conservatives of the Upstate web page...

Show up on March 5th and clap for the speakers who oppose this sister city boondoggle.

Sign up to speak before the meeting starts.

Contact your County Councilman and express your opposition to this potentially waste of tax dollars and dangerous boondoggle.

Is the "Sister City" movement a part of Agenda 21?

Recently, the Pickens County Council quietly let the cat out of the bag that two council members and their spouses would be traveling to Germany to "partner with a 'Sister City'" ...

What is the 'Sister City' movement about?

You can also read more here:

Yes, you're reading that link right, the 'Sister City" program is part of the United Nations, Sustainable Development, and Agenda 21.

Here's the opening from the website linked above.

Pay attention to "NGO involvement" and globalist marketing.
Description/achievement of initiative
Sister Cities International is creating a network of sister city partnerships committed to implementing the concepts of sustainable development, as outlined by the international community. Through innovative, cross-cultural projects, sister city partners will demonstrate that locally based actions can: (a) be a catalyst for advancing sustainable development concepts throughout the world; (b) improve the quality of life for citizens within their communities; (c) advance the knowledge and practice of sustainable development through long-term, sustainable relationships; (d) mutually reinforce and integrate the goals of good governance, sustainable economic development, social development and environmental stewardship; and (e) achieve concrete results through partnerships with the public and private sector.

The Sister Cities Network for Sustainable Development will involve sister city communities and their citizens, international and U.S. non-governmental organizations (NGOs), multilateral organizations, corporations, foundations and other major donors to address a variety of issues related to sustainable development as outlined in the United Nations' Agenda 21, the Plan of Implementation adopted at the World Summit for Sustainable Development (WSSD) and the Millennium Development Goals. Using the Sister Cities Internaitonal "model," sister city partnerships will promote the participation of local citizens in all levels of program development, including identifying project areas, suggesting and designing solutions, overseeing implementation and evaluating results.
I'm not sure what role our County Council plays in social development, but that is one of the goals of the 'Sister City' program.

Letter to School Board concerning “diversity” statement ...

The following was presented for answer ...

School Board members & Superintendent Merck,

Conservatives of the Upstate would like further clarification on Dr. Merck’s statement in the minutes of last board meeting.

“The area we are currently addressing is a lack of diversity in leadership positions in the district.”

Exactly what does lack of diversity mean and who has identified this as a problem in our school district?
