" … you can expect fairness. In reality, you can’t have fairness without truth and vice versa. To every story there are always at least two sides, and in most cases, many more than that."
In journalism, there is ONE SIDE - truth.
Of course there's perspectives. But …
We MUST STOP telling people that "a version of the truth" is acceptable. MOST things, most stories, involve universal truth.
The news media not only manipulates the truth regularly for sensationalism, but manipulates the definition of the word "truth" in the name of "fairness".
If someone isn't telling you the truth and won't look you in the eye and say that they are - move on, go to someone that will tell you the truth.
