This is Rusty, the webmaster at Conservatives Of The Upstate ...
Since our April meeting where Junius explained the terminology of Sustainable Development, I've been researching the topic quite a bit. One thing I came across is this graphic in a Wikipedia article. The article is left leaning and favorable towards the idea (saying it is a "good thing") but curiously has this graphic with it ...

All one has to do is just look at this graphic to see that Sustainable Development is neither viable, equitable, or bearable. Technically, that's not the way you read a Venn diagram properly, BUT these terms are OUTSIDE the confines of what "Sustainable" means. In other words, it isn't a viable plan. It isn't equitable. People typically won't be able to live with it - it's unbearable.
The Pickens County Comprehensive Plan and Pickens County Vision 2025 are both Sustainable Development initiatives being implemented right now! Are you making sure these plans are "bearable" to you?
