_______________________________________

Pickens Tea Party
TEA= Taxed Enough Already

Hello to all Tea Partiers, Patriots, & God Fearing Lovers of Freedom,

We will be having a PICKENS TEA PARTY today April 24th 2010 in front of Pickens City Hall starting at 12:00 NOON and ending by 3:00PM!

This will be the 3rd TEA Party for Pickens. At the first meeting we had about 150 people and the at the second we had about 200 ... so we are hoping to at least double the second one!

There will be patriotic music and singing, a great line up of speakers touching on the pertinent issues of the day, and free information so you can learn how to be involved in Taking America Back!

Invite your Neighbours, Friends, Relatives, Associates, Co-Workers ---- EVERYBODY!

Bring your signs, get out your flags, locate your patriotic clothing, and be ready for a GREAT EVENT!

"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty!"
~ Thomas Jefferson

  1. The Pickens County School Board is about to adopt changes to its Agenda policy that are in violation of a recent South Carolina Court of Appeals decision regarding unannounced items being added to the agenda. their proposed change is available on their website.

    This type of action was determined to be contrary to the spirit and intent of the state's Freedom of Information Act.

    the court case is Lambries v Saluda County Council, decided in the summer of 2012.

    the school board, and its attorney seem to be willfully ignorant of this court decision even tho the SC School Board Association highlighted it in its annual report to the states' school boards at the end of last year.

    perhaps your group could get the attention of the school board and convince them to revise their agenda policy to conform to the court's ruling in Lambries.

    Thank you, and God Bless Pickens County, South Carolina, and God Bless America!
